I started looking through Annie today. I figured that I better get a start on choreography this spring/summer so I'm not crammed for time when the show comes. As I'm flipping through my script, fantastick ideas are flying through my idea. But alas, can these people handle the intense action?? I want this to be the magical production Annie is supposed to be, but I'm not 100% sure that it will all work out.

What I want and what I'll get may end up being two totally different things.... especially in the choreography department. All the intense choreography was given to people I know can dance. Can I find 4 male and 6 females that are semi-good dancers to do "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here??"

Easy Street is gonna be another good dance number, I need good people for that too.

I Dont Need Anything- all tap

Annie- servants dance AGAIN

Never Fully Dressed- Duffy tap solo/orphan dance

A New Deal- great ideas... but can it be done???



Every show that I have direct and will end up directing will have intense rehearsal periods and I tend to do things that past productions have not done (and have thought of many ideas to do for shows I want to direct) and I also tend to follow the script and score verbatim, because that's what the writers wanted.


*sigh* This cast is gonna be in for a whole new Matt Surico... and you thought Three Little Pigs-Director Matt was tough! =)



On the flip side- Annie will kick ass. Period.

Seuss was amazing. I loved every minute of it!!! Christine was amazing!! We gotta add some moments to the list of scenes she saved with her quick thinking!!! I can't wait till next year!! Im gonna be there a lot more next year and resume my role as Stage Manager like in Guys and Dolls.


Assumptions is moving along. Having a few roadblocks/writer's blocks, but they're being worked out. The entire full 1st draft should be finished by the middle/end of April. The music should be done by the summer. Maybe this summer we'll have a staged reading/workshop to see how long this thing is and what edits we have to make!!! More on that when it happens!!

I made it through the key change (nine pages) and it's about 40-54 seconds long.

Now to work on the vocals! Yipee!!


I am very proud of myself, because this is the first song EVER that i have written a key change for. No other song from BTM or the 2 i already wrote for this, had key changes!

And me falling off the stage, then falling onto the stage, was definetly the best moments of the show. And I didn't get hurt, but I cut a little bit of my finger on the back wall after Rosie, which hurts like HELL!!! and the rest of me is fine.. weird.

On a happy note, I have a meeting with the church next Friday about Godspell!! I transcribed the beginning of the 2000 revival finale last night and today. It's really cool. Listen to it if you haven't. It's great.

a) Nunsense London Cast- they suck. they can't do shit. they hold every note for it's full value and can't rock out. my cast was better =)

b) Godspell Australian Cast- holy fuckin shit. this is soooo funny. they r so australian!!!!! LOL

Yeah, so last night, I had a dream that connected the two people that I care most about:
My little buddy: Samuel
& Mark



So, I'm with Mark in Disney, and we're walking through a gift shop when we passed a lost and found bin. This old lady is going through it and she threw this purple folder on the floor and it had Samuel's name on it. So, I picked it up and it had medical information and times to take his insulin shots. So, I was like "Oh my God! We've gotta find the Rellas and give this to them so Samuel knows when to take his shots!" So, me and Mark go running through Disney and Mark was suddenly wearing his Prince Dauntless costume.



Then I woke up.




So, this confirmed my realization that I thought about all day long yesterday. If Mark leaves me, and I never get to see him again, I will be totally miserable. He is my best friend in the entire world and he means the world to me. He is always there for me, and I will always be there for him. I know I can tell him anything and everything and he'll make me feel better or help me get through it. So yeah, if you leave my life Mark, I'm gonna be very very sad, and probably cry more than I did when we left your house and Brooke/Alexis were leaving.

So, yeah, you're my best friend and I can't live without you!!!!

OMG, I have never cried so much as I did today. Foisey's leaving is not a happy topic to talk about.

I really thought I was going to hold it together... and then Brooke says:
"You were the first person I was ever a whore to!"

And then I lost it... and cried, and cried, and cried.
So yeah, it was really bad.

And at some point I said: "Every time Crystal goes to kiss me in Birdie, I'm going to think of Brooke Foisey and Potiphar!!"

Oh, and my parents think I'm crazy cause I'm crying as I walk into the house. =)

I cannot stop, it's so bad...


I am going to miss you so much, Brooke.
